I must admit...having never been fond of Glen Beck, his little rant here was pretty funny, especially his Barney Frank. That was good!
Yes, perhaps a distraction. I mean, if we think Washington is somehow "separate" from Wall Street, we should reconsider. They look out for each other. We should have let AIG fail, but that would have been bad for Washington. I think Beck does a good job here.
However, we do need to remember that AIG was never an American company to begin with. The company has assets located all over the world and it is financially instituted in more than one country, which is why $60 billion plus went overseas. That's because that's where the money belonged.
