This is nothing new. Every election there is a group on both side supporting a candidate of the other party. Joe Lieberman and his supporters are supporting John McCain. Many Hillary supporters said that they are voting for McCain. In 2004 Zell Miller and a group of other democrats supported Bush over Kerry. I think this is normal for every election and ultimately I believe has not really large effect to the results.
