Bill Clinton's Response to McCain's Suspension

I agree with what Clinton said, in the sense that he doesn't think McCain made this move out of fear. (Duh)

Every decision made by either campaign is motivated by the polls. Period. McCain's decision was for political reasons. He hopes that he will be viewed as someone who puts "country first" (where have I heard that before?).

If you don't think every decision is politically motivated Nate, you're being naive. Both Obama and McCain care about one thing right now and one thing only - the Presidency. I don't care what they say for the cameras.

The fact is that both Obama and McCain can do their jobs as Senators and still carry on with their campaigns and debates. I for one, want a president who can multi-task.

And at a time like this, there could not be a more important time for a debate to showcase our potential future leader and his ability to show us just how much economic knowledge he has.

As far as Clinton goes, I've never had much respect for him so I don't know what you'll prove to me by quoting him.

First of all I never said that McCain did this with no political motive.

Sure, there is a motive, but at least that motive pushed him to do what was best for the country at the moment. Barack should have done the same.

You could say that about every good thing a politican does. "He only did that because he wanted higher approval ratings." Whatever the motive may be as long as they do what is good for the nation.

We critisize politicans when they don't do what they should and it is sad that we do they same when they do what they should because of their "motives."

I used Clinton to show that even though he is democrat he is not slamming McCain like most others are. Not that I have much respect for the man either.

All though, you could say that Clinton is trying to support McCain in little ways because he doesn't want Obama to win.

So yes there are motives for everyone but the fact is McCain made the right decision, beside it appears the the Debate is still on and I am sure the McCain will clean Obama's clock. He is not a debater he is a speaker. Either way it will be interesting to see.

I won't be watching the debate (if it can actually be called a debate at all - it's more like a Q & A session) because I have to work tonight.

Not like it matters because according to this screenshot on the washington post's website from earlier today, McCain has already won it.

McCain Wins Debate

Obama has his work cut out for him now that the McCain campaign has found a way to manipulate time travel.
