You remember not too long ago when Jesse Jackson was caught on live television muttering under his breath all sorts of racial and negative comments about Obama? How embarrassing.
Well, you would think that people who spend so much time on television would realize that the microphone is never "dead". Whatever you say will be recorded. So now we have Mike Murphy and Peggy Noonan. I'm not familiar with Murphy, but I have read Noonan for a few years from time to time. A wonderfully gifted writer to say the least. So here they both are during a commercial break a couple days ago...
Just as I dismissed Jackson's excuses after the fact, I don't give hers much weight either. Mainly because, off the cuff comments usually speak louder about one's frame of mind and actual thoughts than do edited words written after the fact that can be eloquently crafted. Funny to me because it doesn't matter if they are a Republican or Democrat, sooner or later, their bias shows.
