Kathleen Parker who as recently as Sept 5th had nothing but praise for Gov Palin, is now calling for her to step down. If Palin were to leave the Republican ticket "for personal reasons", McCain could redeem himself with a new Vice Presidential candidate.
Ms. Parker is voicing her own opinion. Just because she feels this way doesn't mean every conservative must agree. But she backs up her opinion with the obvious - Palin is out of her league.
On Sept 5, Parker praised Palin in her article entitled Palin's Palliative
But after watching Palin's interviews with Charles Gibson, Sean Hannity, and Katie Couric, Parker's opinion has drastically changed as voiced in her article dated Sept 26, The Palin Problem
It is no secret that the GOP campaign has gone overboard in protecting Palin from the media and their probing questions, sparking outrage from the media as seen in this rant from CNN's Campbell Brown as posted on The Huffington Post's website: (Yes, I know The Huffington Post is a left-leaning publication - but in order to show the video, I had to use their article since I can't find any right-leaning publications that covered this - surprise!) Campbell Brown Rips McCain Camp's "Sexist" Treatment Of Palin
Maybe Palin will continue on and preform wonderfully in next week's debate with Sen Biden. Who know? We'll need to wait and find out.

I haven't had the time yet to see here speak or hear much about her. This is due mainly to the my lack of TV service and the laziness of not taking time to research on the internet.
I have yet to make a judgment on her character and experience. I plan on seeing the vice presidential debate next week where I plan on making that judgment of her.
It is not surprising that some think see is not the right pic, you could saw that for the democrats with Biden who has made statements that criticize his own campaign and has said that there was better choices out there than himself.
Not everyone will be happy with the choice Obama and McCain made but as for me I will decide where I stand next week.
I will maintain that I have always thought that Romney would have been a better choice for McCain, maybe not for electability but for the experience needed to face the issues at hand.
I agree with you Nate - wish that McCain had picked Romney too. But, I will also say that like the article Andy posted said, Palin was a big hit at first. I thought she was great the first time I heard her, and thought she would be McCain's "secret weapon". Now, it doesn't seem that way, but I want to watch the VP debate also before making my final decision. I feel bad for her in some ways....I wonder if behind closed doors she wonders how she got into this mess in the first place?
You gotta love these partisan pundits! It only took this one VP debate, where Palin delivered a very predictable and extremely transparent "hockey mom" performance (using every nauseating colloquialism in the book), to bring Kathleen Parker back to right-wing sanity.
Parker's article 10-04-08:
Kathleen Parker: Palin is back with a vengeance
I wasn't very impressed with Palin in the Debate. Even though the pundits had great things to say about her I didn't think she do a great job.
I felt that she was spewing (is that how you spell spewing?) memorized talking points and what can you expect from someone with not a lot of experience.
I do think that she and McCain could get off their, "Maverick" soap box because I am tired of hearing about it maybe no one else is but she had to mention that they are a team of Mavericks numerous times and it was annoying.
Needless to say both Palin and Biden seemed to be only defending their running mate. I wanted to see some intellectual debate on THEIR ideas but really who cares about the V.P.?
Well it seems that America does this time around because 40% more viewers watched this over the Presidential Debate last week.
I am sure that there will be many voters voting for McCain only because they will be voting for Palin.
Anyway, I watched this debate with high expectations of Palin and I was disappointed. Biden was well...Biden.
That was my take.
