Good article, Nate. International conflict is the side effect of globalization. The more we become interconnected, the more the potential for conflict.

According to Crisisgroup.org, there are currently 85 conflict situations in the world.

Not that I want to use this article to throw in a word for Obama, but this shows that America needs a different foreign policy. We need to focus our best human resources towards building relationships of trust with foreign countries through patient diplomatic means. We need to rebuild our reputation from a hypocritical international player to a solid law-abiding country that honors international treaties and adheres to the rule of law everywhere, not just within the boundaries of the 50 states.
