Here's two great websites with quizes that match your stance on issues to a political philosophy.

According to the first website, I'm a Liberal Populist (although I like to rephrase my position to being the following: a Liberal/Populist leaning Moderate)

1) On The Issues - Presidential Vote Match Quiz

This quiz is fantastic because each issue is linked to an extremely in-depth explanation about the issue and what it means to support or oppose. It goes into much detail about the differences between the practical matters and the principles of each issue. I really like it because of this and would highly recommend it. Leave yourself some time to take it though because you'll want to click the link of every issue and read about it before making a decision to support or oppose, or neither.

The results match you with a presidential candidate but if you scroll to the bottom, there is a link for "analysis and explanation". Click on that! Here is where you'll find the political map with your scores and what the scores mean.

2) Advocates for Self-Government - World's Smallest Political Quiz

The name gives away it's lack of extensive explanations on issues like the previous website. That's why its the smallest quiz in the world - it doesn't give you much detail. Nevertheless, it's short and gives some score explanation.
