Alan Keyes who ran against Obama in 2004 for the U.S. Senate seat in Illinois is suing to prove his Citizenship. We all know that the Constitution states that the President must be a naturalized citizen of the U.S. and Keyes and well as others seem to think he is not.
The easiest solution to this is for Obama to present his birth certificate, which I have been wondering, aren't these things looked at in advance before anyone runs? They should be if they aren't already, and if for some miraculous reason Obama is not a naturalized citizen this sure would be embarrassing that we elected someone that doesn't qualify.
Anyway, I am not saying that Keyes is right, I am saying that it will be interesting to follow and see if anything comes out of this. Also, for those itching to call Keyes a racists for bring this suit (not that any of you would) they better think twice because Keyes is black.

For additional interest here is an article from July about Obama's Birth certificate being a possible forgery. I believe I e-mailed this to some of you earlier this year.

This argument is silly. By virtue of Obama being born to a US citizen automatically makes Barack a citizen.
I know this because I have a child in the same situation. It doesn't matter where in the world a child is born, if at least one of the parents is a US citizen, then the child is also.
If any of you doubt the natural-born US citizenship status of Benson because he was born in Germany, I'll be happy to send you a copy of his birth certificate.
In addition to this, Factcheck.org has an article about Obama's citizenship, arguing with proof that he is, in fact, a natural-born citizen.

I haven't done the research but from what I understand the natural born citizen laws where different be Obama was born verse Benson.
I haven't had time to verify this yet but as i understand it when Obama was born the law required both parents to be U.S. citizens if born outside the country.
I believe Benson is a U.S. citizen due to our current laws but those laws where different when Obama was born. Again I need to verify this but this is what I have read.
Again, Fact Check has debunked this and therefore Obama is most likely a citizen but I think it is important to make sure or else like I said earlier it would be embarrassing as a country to elect someone not eligible.
