Unbiased Journalistic Reporting Lost In "Obamamania"

In the wake of the heavily lopsided coverage (this has been well documented by independent groups... just google it and you'll see), read this thought provoking article by Howard Kurtz... yes he is a conservative journalist who writes for the Washington Post.

Click on the link. Enjoy.

Good article. Indeed, there is a lot of hype, but like the article points out, not much different than when JFK was elected, or in all honesty, when anything as cool as Obama takes center stage.

Of course, just like every other media outlet, the Washington Post is keen to get in on the profit-generating hype Obama has so graciously produced.

That's what the media does: take something, hype it up, make money, then when popularity begins to die, tear it down, and make money.

Media follows trends, or makes them. Nothing out of the ordianry here. But like the article pointed out, all this will soon die down when reality hits and when people's basic lives haven't taken a 180 by January 30, 2009.
